A Cryometer is used to measure the low temperature of an object.

There are different types of Cryometer. They are

  • Thermocouples
  • Vapour pressure thermometer
  • Resistance thermometer
  • Melting curve thermometer
  • Resistance noise thermometer
  • Magnetic thermometer
  • Nuclear resonance thermometer

Thermocouples:

The thermocouples are used to measure the temperature which is about 1 K

Vapour pressure thermometers

The vapour pressure thermometers are used to measure the temperature which is about 0.5 k

Resistance thermometer

The Resistance thermometer is used to measure the temperature which is about 0.01 k

Melting curve thermometer

The Melting curve thermometer is used to measure the temperature between 0.001 k to 0.5 k

Resistance noise thermometer

The Resistance noise thermometer is used to measure the temperature that is about 0.001 k

Magnetic thermometer

The magnetic thermometer is used to measure the temperature which is  about 0.001 k

Nuclear resonance thermometer

The Nuclear resonance thermometer is used to measure very low temperature when compared with the others. The measured temperature should be 0.0000001 K

Galileo thermometer

Galileo thermometer is manufactured with the sealed glass cylinder. The sealed glass cylinder contains a clear liquid and the glass containers of changing density. If there is any change in the temperature then the individual float rises upwards or they may fall in proportion to their densities.

Gas thermometer

Gas thermometer is used to measure the temperature; we can see the variation in pressure of the gas or volume of the gas.
